interview tips: clients
- Review the candidate’s resume prior to the interview. Sounds obvious but unbelievably overlooked.
- Have a sheet of questions. This is not a test. You can bring notes.
- Give specific examples of what a typical days looks like. Specific trumps general.
- Share the company’s values, mission and culture. Sell your company!
- Discuss possible career development plans associated with position.
- Describe your management style. How do you like to be communicated with?
- Answer candidate’s questions as thoroughly as possible. Not answering them looks like you’re hiding something.
- Listen!!!
