interview tips: candidates
- Research the company!
- Arrive no more than 5-10 minutes early unless stated beforehand. Arriving any earlier makes the interviewer feel rushed.
- Dress to impress. Find out the culture and dress slightly above that.
- Ask questions! Come prepared with questions. This is not a test. You can bring notes.
- Be prepared to answer typical questions like “What are your strengths?” But also be prepared for open-ended questions like “What makes you get up in the morning?”
- Bring samples of work, even if you’re not a creative. You’ve worked hard. Show ‘em what you’ve done!
- Ask for cards from each person you interview with and send them a Thank You. So over-looked yet so important!
- Listen!!!
There's lots more and we'll talk about it when we work together. Looking forward to it!
